SIMPLE FROM THE START

Know what happens.
Before it happens.

Whether you need a website, business software, or a mobile application, you'll see the process, understand the milestones, and know when payments are due before work begins.

WEBSITES. SOFTWARE. MOBILE APPLICATIONS.

The path depends on what you're building.

Every project starts with a planner and a written agreement. The stages below show how websites, business software, and mobile applications typically unfold.

Website Development

From a simple business website to a more customized online experience, Stagg Software Labs creates websites built around your business and its needs.

01 / DISCOVER

Tell us what you need.

Choose your website package, pages, design preferences, and functionality. Together, we define the scope and establish a preliminary development estimate.

No commitment required. All estimates are subject to review.
02 / AGREE

Review your project plan.

Receive a clear proposal outlining the website, development costs, and expected timeline. Everything is reviewed and approved before work begins.

Domain registration, hosting, and optional services are outlined separately.
03 / BUILD

Bring your website to life.

Your website takes shape through thoughtful design, responsive development, and content integration. Each stage includes testing, feedback, and agreed revisions.

Development progress and payments follow your approved milestones.
04 / LAUNCH

Ready for the world.

Following final testing, your website is published and connected to your domain. A straightforward handover makes managing your new site easy.

Your domain and hosting accounts remain under your ownership.

Business Software Development

Custom CRM systems, client portals, dashboards, and business tools designed to simplify operations and support the way your company works.

01 / DISCOVER

Define what your business needs.

Describe your business, its challenges, and the functionality you need. From there, we identify essential features, establish priorities, and prepare a preliminary estimate.

No commitment required. All estimates are subject to review.
02 / AGREE

Establish a clear plan.

Review a detailed proposal covering functionality, project scope, development stages, pricing, and expected timelines. Development begins once the agreement is approved.

Every project starts with an agreed scope and clear expectations.
03 / BUILD

Develop with purpose.

Your software is designed around intuitive workflows and developed in manageable stages, with opportunities to review progress, provide feedback, and approve key milestones.

Development progress and payments follow your approved milestones.
04 / LAUNCH

Put your software to work.

After testing and deployment, user accounts and essential settings are configured. A guided handover helps your team begin using the system confidently.

Hosting, maintenance, and third-party service costs are identified in advance.

Mobile application

A native iOS or Android app, planned in the mobile application planner.

01 / DISCOVER

Tell us what you're building.

Describe the app in the project planner. We'll discuss the key features, platform, and what a sensible first version looks like.

No obligation. Estimates are preliminary.
02 / AGREE

Approve the plan.

You'll receive a written scope, fixed milestones, pricing, and target timeline. Work starts only after we both agree to the terms.

$0 development deposit to start eligible projects.
03 / SEE IT

Review your first design.

We'll create an agreed set of representative screens or a limited interactive prototype. You can review the look and flow before your first invoice.

First milestone payment follows approval.
04 / BUILD & LAUNCH

See it come to life.

We build the agreed functionality, share reviewable milestones, complete testing, and guide you through store submission and handover.

Later payments follow agreed acceptance stages.

HOW PAYMENT WORKS

Pay for progress
you can see.

Every project uses a written agreement with defined milestones. Website and software payments follow the stages in that agreement. For eligible mobile application projects, there is no upfront development deposit, and the first invoice comes after you approve the initial design.

All amounts, review periods, and acceptance criteria are agreed before work begins. Extra features require a separate approved change request.

Example mobile application · $5,000 CAD Example only
Agreement Scope and milestones signed
$0
Design preview Representative screens approved
$1,000
Working build Core features demonstrated and approved
$2,000
Final delivery Acceptance, payment, and handover
$2,000

20% / 40% / 40% is an example for a mobile application, not an automatic offer. Website and software projects use the milestone structure in their agreement. Final payment is due before production release and transfer of deliverables.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

We'll guide you through the setup.

You don't need to be technical. Most accounts and materials aren't needed until later, and they depend on whether we're building a website, software, or an app.

Developer program fees, taxes, hosting, domains, and third-party usage charges are separate from development unless explicitly included in your proposal. App Store approval is controlled by Apple and Google, not guaranteed by Stagg Studio.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Good to know.

Clear answers before you commit.

Are the estimates free?

Yes. The website, business software, and mobile application planners each provide a preliminary range. A final quote follows a review of your actual requirements.

Do I pay anything before seeing the design?

For eligible mobile application projects, no development deposit is required. You approve the written agreement first, then review the agreed initial design before the first invoice. Website and software payments follow the milestones in their agreement.

What if something changes?

If any stage doesn’t match what we agreed on, we’ll make corrections during that stage. If you’d like to add something new or change the scope, we’ll provide a quote first and only begin once you’ve approved it.

Who owns the finished product?

Your agreement will specify ownership and licensing. Typically, project-specific deliverables transfer after full payment, excluding third-party assets and expressly retained reusable components.

Will you create my developer or hosting accounts?

We guide you through setup, but you should own the accounts. For apps, that means Apple and Google. For websites and software, that means the domain and hosting. You can invite us to help with configuration and launch.

What happens after launch?

We can discuss ongoing maintenance, updates, and support separately. Any continuing fees or service commitments will be clearly stated.
